Rocky Mountain Excavation & Grading LLC was founded by James Simmons based upon his years of experience in the fields of heavy civil engineering, foundational drilling, excavation, grading, demolition and construction services work. Since our inception, we have grown quickly and developed an excellent reputation for quality work, on schedule project completion, and an ability to meet our clients' needs within their budgeted cost.

James grew-up in Pennsylvania before moving to California where the majority of his construction experience was obtained. He started his career with Caterpillar as an apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician, before getting involved in the construction industry where he worked for several companies in Northern California, including Malcolm Drilling Company, one of the USA's largest deep foundation drilling contractors.

Since 2021 Rocky Mountain Excavation & Grading has been successful in continuing to secure a pipeline of project work which has allowed us grow and add equipment, people and expand our services.

We are dedicated to meeting our client's needs throughout all phases of their project. Attention to detail in every aspect of a job, has been, and always will be our top priority!
